A crotcheting project....a bag!

A couple of weeks ago I showed you a crotched bag that I really liked. Here it is again.
I thought I would give it a go. I haven't done much crotcheting at all, but was keen to perservere. It took me about an hour before I was comfortable with holding the hook and getting the tension right, but then it all clicked, and I am really enjoying picking it up at night and doing a few rows.

I already had quite a few balls of wool so made do with the colours that I had. Here is the progress so far.
I've never been a 'bright' colour type of person, but I don't mind the brights of the bag. I'll wait until it's finished to see if it is something I like enough to use!
You can view the pattern here.

Our bathroom makeover is still at a standstill but I purchased a toothbrush holder and soap dispenser to sit onto of the new vanity.

Hubby is down in Adelaide for the Clipsal 500 motor racing, so I'm planning to get quite a bit more of the bag done this weekend!

My favourite find on Pinterest this week is these Lasagne Cupcakes.
The recipe can be found here.

Oh, my Annette, if you could make that and haven't done much crochet - you have a gift! That is really beautiful and doesn't look easy! I could never read instructions!

I love that you posted your favorite Pinterest find! That is such a fun idea. I have been spending a week on making things I have seen on Pinterest. Actually it is going into next week since I have had such fun!

The bag is so pretty and well done you for having a go.

What you are doing looks great, I think you may have found your vocation.

I look forward to seeing the end product.
