A weekend away with my sisters

As you may be aware I am one of six girls and we try and get together once a year for just a 'girls weekend away'. This year we stayed in a 6 person cottage at the Marion Holiday Park in Adelaide for a couple of nights. It was a beautiful park and very comfortable accommodation with our own decking and lovely views over a creek and reserve.
Above: The view from our deck.
There is always retail therapy when us girls get together and Saturday morning we went to Castle Plaza. We had fun looking around.
Above: My youngest sister Bronny with some groovy pjs.
Much too long for us girls though. Our average height would be 5 ft!!
Above: Wendy found some cute gum boots.
Above: Over lunch Kirsty (Wendy's daughter) showed all her aunties the different ways to tie scarves.
Above: In the afternoon we went Opp Shopping. Great fun.
Here is Wendy, Glenys and  Kirsty.
Above: Bronny with an opp shop purchase. It was a cushion cover which she is going to use the fabric for covering books. We made it clear that none of us wanted a book covered in that fabric thanks!!!
Above: Time to settle in for the night after a day out.
Not a good photo, but the best we could do at the time!
Top L-R, Bronny, Kay, Joy. Bottom: Glenys, Me and Wendy.
Above: Kay and Wendy - 2012 Pictionary Champions.
We always have a Pictionary challenge.
Above: Sore losers!!! Glenys and I were way out in front and
thought we had the Pictionary award in the bag. However it was not
to be, Wendy and Kay came from behind and won!
We hammed it up for the photo we weren't really sore losers.
As you can imagine there was lots of laughs and carryons while playing that game.
Above: Sunday morning we meandered up Jetty Road at Brighton
and stopped for coffee at Copenhagen. Pictured, Joy.
Above: Mum and Dad came to the Park and had lunch with all their girls.
Above: Mid afternoon we headed into the City for a wander.
We had tea at a Pizza place in Rundle Street before heading into the
Garden of Unearthly Delights (Part of the Fringe Festival).
The month long festival draws hundreds of performers, each giving short shows throughout each day.
Above: My night shots didn't turn out real well, but here are a couple to give you and idea
of how this park turns into a magical wonderland.

Above: We saw Tom Flannagan's Show - Kaput. It was an hour of comedy and knockabout slapstick which was very amusing and clever. We really enjoyed it.

Above: Before we headed back to our accommodation we called into 'Spats' on
King William Road for dessert and coffee. This was my Baklava.
It was a lovely way to end the day.

Monday morning it was time to head home (it was a public holiday in SA).  We all had a great time as usual and will look forward to doing it again sometime next year.

Dearest Annette,

You are great at getting ALL together; wow. And even with your parents to make it complete.
Special memories for years to come and as long as you can, try to keep it up.
Love to you,

Mariette
