A work in progress

Yay, the long weekend is here!!  I've been waiting all week for it to come as I'm eager to give our kitchen a mini makeover with changing the paint colour. The urge to paint started when we had a 70's amber glass panel and sliding door removed from between our kitchen and family room. We have never used the sliding door and we've always wondered what it would look like with the frame we know as one of our sons Daniel,  knocked it out for us last weekend!

We will be keeping the doorway open, but since last weekend, Daniel  has built a new frame and has also made me a shallow cupboard and wine rack to one side of the is a sneak peak

And Daniel also finished off making our wall mounted coat hangers for our bedroom. Or as you will see in I'm using mine for my scarves.  Very handy having a son who is a cabinetmaker!!

You will have to stay tuned to see some more photos as I endeavour to give the kitchen a small face lift!

Hope you enjoy whatever it is that you are doing this weekend.

Hello Annette,

Wow that certainly makes a big difference. Certainly helps to have a carpenter in the family.
Enjoy your weekend.

Dearest Annette,

Wow, your son is a true handyman and the open space is such a tremendous improvement! You will enjoy that, no doubt.
And a scarf rack etc. etc. Lucky you.

Enjoy your long weekend, well - little part left for you...

Lots of love,

Your array of scarves is lovely! Oh to have a son with that particular talent.
