Celebrations

I'm sure this year is moving even faster than last year did!!!

Today is my Mum and Dad's 60th Wedding Anniversary...What a great feat in today's world.
Fortunately their health is still pretty good and they live independently in a lovely Retirement Village. We will be having a celebration lunch for them on Saturday down in Adelaide.
Here they are on their wedding day.
and a more recent photo.
It was also my hubby's 50th last weekend. He didn't want a party, so we just went out to dinner with a few friends on Saturday night and then on Sunday his family came up from Adelaide for lunch.  As he doesn't like me putting his photo on the blog, I have cropped this photo down of him unwrapping the present I gave him.
It was a 1:18 sized classic EH model car. It is amazing the detail that it involves. The Saltbush Green EH was his first car and he has always had a soft spot for it and would like to get another 'real' one some day! He has started collecting model cars, mainly of the V8 Supercar variety.
And just a simple pic of the top shelf of one of my bookshelves now that the Christmas decorations have disappeared!

Congratulations to hubby for his 50th, and to your parents, they look adorable. 60 years married is amazing and they still look so much in love.

I love the old Holden, I also want an old car to cruise around in, they have so much more style.

Have a lovely day.

I love those old cars even if it is a model, I think they had more style than some of the modern ones, although I would miss the power steering and the ABS.

Love the EH model. My sister had one of those cars ages ago. Loved that car!
