The other was a table cloth that she made. Grandma didn't have very good eyesight but she was superb at knitting and crotcheting. She used cotton and did some very fine work. She was rarely seen without a project in her hand and it always intrigued me how she sat there without a pattern and could talk and just knit or crotchet away!!
Here is one of the many cloths she made.

Hello Annette,
How wonderful to have such treasures.
I have a few things, but one that comes to mind is a black crepe dress from the 1930's that was my grans, which was given to me in my teens (long time ago now). That was the first piece of vintage fashion that inspired my love for it, before it became as popular as it is now.
Have a lovely day

Great tea set. My Grandma also gave a pretty floral tea and saucer and a beautiful glass vase. The vase is being used at the moment but I think I should laso put the tea cup on display and soon as we have finished our reno. G
Hi Annette! Oh what sweet treasures you have. That tablecloth design is breathtaking. I have a set of dishes from my Grandma as well as some jewelry, it is so special to me. Have a great day!
Hmm, I had to think about this, I have a brooch, some teacup sets, crocheted doilies and a couple of embroidered tablecloths from my Nanna and Mum. I can remember my Nan sitting there crocheting away and using the very fine cotton also.
What lovely keepsakes from your husband's grandma, Annette. I have a couple of sets of blue and white china that used to belong to my grandmother... one of them is Blue Willow. It's nice to have something from our loved ones to remind us of them once they're gone. :)
Have a wonderful day!
